Kunafa Gold — Saffron & Pistachio Eau de Parfum
The scent. Kunafa Gold opens with red saffron — warm and slightly bitter, threading through the composition from the very first spray. Roasted pistachio joins it, nutty and green, before honeyed cream settles the whole saffron pistachio perfume into something indulgent and unmistakably dessert-inspired, named after the Middle Eastern sweet it evokes. There's real richness here — golden syrup, toasted nuts and warm spice — built for anyone who wants their fragrance to feel like a treat.
Character. Kunafa Gold is indulgent and unusual — a fragrance that stands apart from typical vanilla-forward gourmands. It suits anyone drawn to Middle Eastern and Indian dessert culture, unafraid of a rich, spiced sweetness.
Fragrance is the doorway. Attardaan's philosophy comes from the Śrī Sūkta of the Rig Veda, where the goddess Lakshmi Ji is invoked as Gandhadvārām — she whose gateway is fragrance, the ancient belief that a beautiful scent is the doorway through which grace and abundance enter a home. Saffron has been among the most precious materials in Indian perfumery for centuries, and Kunafa Gold is hand-blended in India carrying forward the tradition of Kannauj, India's 5,000-year-old attar city, into a modern saffron-pistachio perfume built for rich, celebratory indulgence.
Who it's for and when to wear it. Kunafa Gold suits festive gatherings, winter evenings, and any occasion that calls for a fragrance with real richness and personality. It's a strong pick for anyone who has grown tired of standard vanilla gourmands and wants something more distinctive, spiced and golden in character.
How to wear Kunafa Gold. Spray on pulse points — wrists, the base of the throat, behind the ears — letting the saffron open first before the pistachio and honeyed cream settle in beneath it. Two sprays gives rich, generous coverage for a full evening, since saffron projects naturally once it develops. For festive occasions, a spray on a dupatta or shawl extends the trail for hours.
Why Attardaan. Every bottle is hand-blended in India in small batches, using real saffron rather than diluted, mass-market shortcuts. We back every fragrance with easy returns and full transparency on notes and format. Kunafa Gold is a long-lasting saffron pistachio perfume made the way we believe fragrance should be — rich, honest, and genuinely indulgent.

The Vessel Is You
attardaan
अत्तरदान
noun — the vessel that holds the attar
An attardaan is a real object. Long before it was our name, it was the small ornate box a household kept its perfume in — brought out for weddings, for guests, for the days worth marking. The word says exactly what it is: attar, the fragrance; daan, the holder.
We call the people who wear our scents Attardaans because the name has quietly changed hands. A bottle keeps a fragrance for a while. You give it warmth, a pulse, and somewhere to go. Worn, a scent stops being something you own and becomes something you carry.
In the Rig Veda's Śrī Sūkta, Lakshmi Ji is invoked as Gandhadvārām — she who is approached through fragrance.

Which is why, to us, our Attardaans are the most beautiful people we know.

Our Customers Ask
Our fragrances are hand-blended in the traditional attar style using concentrated oils, so they sit close to the skin and unfold gradually over several hours. Wear time varies with skin type, climate and how much you apply — for the best results, apply to pulse points (wrists, neck, behind the ears) on slightly moisturised skin right after a shower.
An attar is a traditional Indian fragrance oil, made the old way and typically alcohol-free, so it's applied directly to the skin and blooms slowly. A perfume (eau de parfum) usually uses an alcohol base, which makes the scent lift faster but fade sooner. At Attardaan, we work in the Kannauj attar tradition — hand-blended, concentrated, and made to last.
Most of our fragrances are crafted in the traditional attar style and are alcohol-free. Composition can vary across our range, so please check the individual product's description for the exact details of the fragrance you're looking at, or message us on WhatsApp and we'll confirm before you buy.
Our fragrances are hand-blended using quality ingredients and are generally gentle on the skin. That said, everyone's skin reacts differently to fragrance oils. If you have sensitive skin or a known fragrance allergy, we recommend a small patch test on your inner wrist before applying it more widely.
It depends on how you like to wear your fragrance. A 10ml is perfect for trying a scent, travel, or keeping in your bag for touch-ups. A 100ml is a comfortable everyday bottle for regular use. A 200ml suits someone who's found their signature scent and wants it to last without reordering often. Not sure yet? Start smaller and size up once you know it's the one.
