The Scent
Sukoon means peace, or relief, and that's precisely the job this room freshener spray is built to do. Calming lavender — herbal, slightly green, unmistakably soothing — is softened with warm vanilla, so it never tips into the sharp, medicinal quality some lavender scents have. What's left is round and gentle, the fragrance equivalent of exhaling. This is one of our most reliably relaxing room sprays, built for the moments when a space needs to slow down rather than announce itself.
Fragrance as the Doorway
Lavender is not originally an Indian note, but the ritual of using scent to change how a room feels is one of India's oldest traditions. Attardaan takes its name from the attardaan, the ornate sealed casket that once held a king's attars, and the philosophy behind everything we make traces back to the Rig Veda's Śrī Sūkta, where the goddess Lakshmi Ji is called Gandhadvārām — "she whose gateway is fragrance." Sukoon, hand-blended in India, applies that same belief to a different kind of good fortune: not opulence, but calm. A beautiful scent can be the doorway to rest just as easily as to celebration.
Where to Use It
Sukoon is a bedroom fragrance above all — spray it onto pillows, curtains and bedlinen before winding down for the night, or use it in a home office or reading corner where you want lower-key energy. It's particularly useful during stressful weeks, after a long day, or for anyone sensitive to stronger, more assertive scents like oud or musk. Unlike our richer room sprays, Sukoon can be reapplied generously without becoming overwhelming — lavender and vanilla are both notes that stay gentle even in quantity. Reach for it simply as an air freshener whenever the room needs a quick lift.
Why Attardaan
Hand-blended in India with real lavender and vanilla fragrance oils, Sukoon is proof that a lavender room freshener spray doesn't have to smell clinical to be calming — it can be warm too. We keep our scent descriptions honest and note-led, so you know exactly what you're spraying into the room where you sleep. If your home needs one fragrance for winding down, this is ours. Fragrance is the doorway — sometimes what should walk through it is simply quiet.

The Vessel Is You
attardaan
अत्तरदान
noun — the vessel that holds the attar
An attardaan is a real object. Long before it was our name, it was the small ornate box a household kept its perfume in — brought out for weddings, for guests, for the days worth marking. The word says exactly what it is: attar, the fragrance; daan, the holder.
We call the people who wear our scents Attardaans because the name has quietly changed hands. A bottle keeps a fragrance for a while. You give it warmth, a pulse, and somewhere to go. Worn, a scent stops being something you own and becomes something you carry.
In the Rig Veda's Śrī Sūkta, Lakshmi Ji is invoked as Gandhadvārām — she who is approached through fragrance.

Which is why, to us, our Attardaans are the most beautiful people we know.

Our Customers Ask
Our fragrances are hand-blended in the traditional attar style using concentrated oils, so they sit close to the skin and unfold gradually over several hours. Wear time varies with skin type, climate and how much you apply — for the best results, apply to pulse points (wrists, neck, behind the ears) on slightly moisturised skin right after a shower.
An attar is a traditional Indian fragrance oil, made the old way and typically alcohol-free, so it's applied directly to the skin and blooms slowly. A perfume (eau de parfum) usually uses an alcohol base, which makes the scent lift faster but fade sooner. At Attardaan, we work in the Kannauj attar tradition — hand-blended, concentrated, and made to last.
Most of our fragrances are crafted in the traditional attar style and are alcohol-free. Composition can vary across our range, so please check the individual product's description for the exact details of the fragrance you're looking at, or message us on WhatsApp and we'll confirm before you buy.
Our fragrances are hand-blended using quality ingredients and are generally gentle on the skin. That said, everyone's skin reacts differently to fragrance oils. If you have sensitive skin or a known fragrance allergy, we recommend a small patch test on your inner wrist before applying it more widely.
It depends on how you like to wear your fragrance. A 10ml is perfect for trying a scent, travel, or keeping in your bag for touch-ups. A 100ml is a comfortable everyday bottle for regular use. A 200ml suits someone who's found their signature scent and wants it to last without reordering often. Not sure yet? Start smaller and size up once you know it's the one.
